Rajesh C Muttath is an ADR enthusiast - his primary professional focus is the law and practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including negotiation, mediation and arbitration. He writes and speaks on ADR, teaches and trains aspirants in ADR, conceives and executes strategic ADR courses and events, and practises ADR. 

He is the Chief Architect and Chair of the Committee of Coordinators of Project M for Mediation, an initiative designed to promote mediation in Kerala - it aims to train 1,000 professionals and reach out to 100,000 individuals in 2024. 

Rajesh has authored and co-authored several articles on arbitration and mediation in international publications. He has spoken at several events, including international conferences in Singapore, Malaysia and India. He has co-led (as the co-chairman of the organizing committee) Settle 2021, one of the most extensive online gathering yet in Kerala legal history.

Rajesh has recently re-commenced practice as a lawyer at the High Court of Kerala. Before returning home after almost 25 years post-qualification, he has had direct professional experience in three foreign jurisdictions - Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom, and several professional associations in Southeast Asian countries

Rajesh was formerly the Director of the Asean Legal Information Centre (Asean LIC), a centre co-established by the University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur) with the support of several leading law schools in Southeast Asia to promote access to Asean law. He has served as the Executive Editor of Malaysian Judgments (the then-official repository of the Federal Court of Malaysia), and the Group Editor of Asean LIC publications. He was the Chief Knowledge Officer of one of Malaysia's oldest and largest legal firms and a foreign lawyer with a premier Singapore firm

He has an LLB from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, where he topped (jointly with another) the class, and an LLM with Distinction from Staffordshire University UK, where he was an ODA scholar. He has received training in arbitration (National University of Singapore) and mediation (Singapore Mediation Centre). 

Rajesh proudly involves himself in community work through, amongst others, READ, the first-of-its-kind initiative in Kerala to make adolescents more self-aware and socially responsible. He takes his food seriously and loves to explore and write about it.
