Joby has over 18 years of teaching experience, including at government law colleges in Kozhikode, Thrissur and Ernakulam, as well as at the School of Legal Studies, CUSAT. 

Joby has an LLM and PhD (on Religious Practice under Indian Law) from the School of Legal Studies, CUSAT. 

She has authored several articles and organised numerous legal events.
