George has been a practising civil lawyer for the last 36 years. He was the president of the Ernakulam Bar Association for six years from 2009 to 2015. 

George became an accredited mediator under the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) (established by the Supreme Court of India) in 2009. He was appointed as a Mediation Trainer by MCPC in 2006 and subsequently elevated to Senior Mediation Trainer in 2022. He has conducted numerous trainings on mediation at the state and national levels. 

He has authored three books on mediation:

• Bridging Differences: The Mediators Handbook (2024)

• Mediation Law - Addressing Emotions, Feelings, Needs and Interests (2024)
